5 STARS—Kiwi Chardonnay! I don’t know if this is a first but its high praise indeed for our John Forrest Collection Chardonnay 2004 – 5 Stars in Decanter. Who said that Kiwi Chardonnay couldn’t age or stand up when judged along-side those from the old world by international judges! Forrest Chardonnay 2007 4.5 Stars - Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

The Collection Marlborough Chardonnay 2004 - “Fragrant bouquet, showing toasty, bottle-aged complexity. Sweet-fruited, with developed, grapefruit-like flavours, some creamy notes and a slightly minerally streak.” Winestate Magazine Recent Release Tasting – 5 Stars, Decanter 2010 - 5 stars Chardonnay tasting, Air New Zealand Wine Awards 2009 – Elite Gold Medal, Sydney International Wine Show 2009 – Blue-Gold Award Winner

Forrest Chardonnay 2007 - The epitome of my style of chardonnay - fresh vibrant fruit flavours, subtle oak and focused acidity. It abounds with citrus (lemon/grapefruit) and stonefruit (nectarine/white peach) flavours and that lovely yeast lees derived, oaten/toffee biscuit aroma. Soft and harmonious with excellent depth and weight on the palate, the wine will benefit from 2-4 years cellaring.
